The Cottage
Burnside Cottage is on 1/3rd acre of ground, with a sunny garden, seating and a firepit in a sheltered grassy hollow.

The cottage was last inhabited in 1950, and has been beautifully restored preserving its character. The staircase is original, as are the stunning flagstones in the kitchen and hallway. Enjoy being off grid, no internet or mobile, although a short walk up the hill gives you good mobile reception. A satellite TV has been installed but you don’t have to put it on!

The two bedroom cottage is very warm and comfortable with full central heating and a wood-burning stove. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. The cottage can sleep 6 when the double futon bed is used downstairs in the separate living room.

With cattle and sheep free to roam, we can’t accept dogs unfortunately.
THE FACILITIES
The cottage is accessible, with all required facilities downstairs, including a warm shower.
